Imaam Ibn Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) stated:
Among the people are those whose instincts are
like that of the pig; it would come across good things without bothering about
it, but if a person rises from his excrement, it feeds on it! This applies to many
people, they would hear from and see good qualities in you many times more than
your frailties, but they will never recall them nor relate them; they will not
find it suitable.
But if they notice an error or a mistaken
statement, they would have attained their goal and gotten what suits them; they
make it a fruit and pass it on!
